CITRUS HEIGHTS–
A man is fighting for his life after an attack in Citrus Heights early Wednesday evening.
Citrus Heights Police say that the attack happened just after 6:30 p.m. near Greenback Lane and Hoffman Lane. Officers were called to the scene about an assault and soon found a man on the sidewalk suffering from serious head injuries.
Witnesses told police that the man had been hit by another man. Only a vague description of the attacker was given.
Police are still looking into what sparked the assault.
The man was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call Citrus Heights Police at (916) 727-5500.
