CITRUS HEIGHTS—
Police in Citrus Heights are saying that an elderly driver looks to have confused the gas pedal for the brake pedal and crashed into Coco’s Bakery Restaurant.
Officers showed up to Madison and Sunrise Avenue restaurant a little after 4:30 p.m. after getting a report about the crash.
At the scene, a Subaru SUV was found to have driven through the window at Coco’s.
People were inside the restaurant at the time, but no one was hurt.
Fire crews were sent to the scene as a precaution, Citrus Heights Police say.
