SACRAMENTO—

An investigation by the Sacramento Police Department has led to the arrest of a Planned Parenthood employee on a sexual battery charge.

Back in October, police were alerted about an alleged sexual assault carried out by 28-year-old Planned Parenthood medical assistant Jorge Martin-Santana.

Police investigators found that Martin-Santana looks to have inappropriately touched a patient at Planned Parenthood while working as a medical assistant, according to a release from the Sacramento Police Department.

Tuesday, a warrant was issued for Martin-Santana’s arrest. Wednesday, police say Martin-Santana turned himself in.

Martin-Santana was booked at Sacramento County Jail on one count of sexual battery.

While police investigators believe that the incident is isolated, they are asking anyone who believes they were attacked by Martin-Santana when he was working at Planned Parenthood to contact them.

Anyone with anything to report on the case can call Sacramento Police at (916) 264-5471.
