PARIS – U.K.-based sales and financing company WestEnd Films will bring on Fabien Westerhoff as head of international sales, effective in January. The French Westerhoff joins WestEnd from HanWay Films, where he served as director of sales and distribution and created the specialty film division.
“Fabien has a great range of relationships, a wide knowledge of the business and is much respected by our community,” said WestEnd managing director Eve Schoukroun in a statement. “He will lead our growing sales team as our activities expand, and I’m thrilled to have him part of the adventure.” Schoukroun and Westerhoff will jointly lead the team as the company expands its sales division and focuses on commercial titles.
“WestEnd has quickly established a solid brand for filmmaking excellence and commercial ambition, and a destination for producers from all horizons on both sides of the pond. It is an exciting time in the company’s expansion and I am delighted to join such an illustrious team,” said Westerhoff.
WestEnd currently has an impressive slate, including Ralph Fiennes’ second directing outing, The Invisible Woman; Corinna McFarlane’s The Silent Storm; and Israel’s best foreign film entry Bethlehem. In production, it has Michael Winterbottom’s currently shooting The Face of an Angel and David Gordon Green’s Holly Hunter and Al Pacino drama Manglehorn.
