Earlier this year, Image Comics launched its own online storefront, offering DRM-free downloads of its material in multiple formats — including PDF, CBR and CBZ — to increase the ease of use of its digital releases. Today, the publisher is making another digital shift, teaming with Dropbox to allow purchases to be shared between devices.
“Now, when viewing your comics collection on the Image website, you’ll see a ‘Save to Dropbox’ button. Click that, log in to your Dropbox account, and your comics are automatically saved to the folder of your choice,” the publisher explained in the announcement of the partnership. “Once your comics have been saved, you can view them the integrated Dropbox Reader or open in your choice of digital comic reader apps on your iPad, Nexus, Kindle Fire, smartphone, laptop or any of your digital comics reading devices.”

The move makes it easier for those using the Image store to share their comics between devices on the go — as well as store them offsite, freeing up space on your computer if you happen to have a large collection — just in time for the holiday rush of those getting new digital devices and looking to use them for comic reading.
