Tom recently posted a couple Screenrs (here
and here) in response to a blog reader's question about the Broken Co-worker Storyline course. If you haven't seen that one, do! It's a great example of what's possible in Storyline.
We just got another question around how the custom feedback was provided. While there's a lot of different things going on in that project, the essence of the custom feedback slide is quite simple. Here's a quick demo with source files you can look at to learn more.
Good morning! I've watched both tutorials and can't get either approach to work. I only have Question 1 set up. My plan is for the last summary slide to be shown at the end, after they've been through the whole scenario, not immediately following the questions. Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Cheryl! Can you walk me through re-creating the issue you are having and what you see vs what you would want to see? I am not able to match up your post here with what your file indicates.
I don't think it's a design issue, Leslie, as much as a functionality issue. I'm trying to replicate both of the approaches that David reviewed in the above videos. I've got the variables and triggers all set up, but my choice for question 1 isn't being reviewed on the review slide, slide 3. Does that make more sense?
Ok, looks like it was simply do to the initial state of the text box set to hidden :) and there were quotation marks set in the variable adjustment, but not in the subsequent triggers.
The variables were adjusting as expected - I played around with the set-up and displayed the changes on the slides for a visual - hope this helps.
I'm sure I seem pretty clueless half the time, but I would be lost without this group. I hope everyone knows how helpful it is to have such a responsive community including staff and heroes.

And just an update to the previous example, this time using states to manage the custom feedback:
I know you posted this a while ago. But, just wanted to say thanks! This tutorial was exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks a lot, Mel. Glad this worked for you!

I will say that the best source of course feedback and design can be found in our Building Better Courses Forums too.

I'll take another look and try to see what you are asking.

That's great. Thanks so much for figuring this out, Leslie. I really appreciate your help!
No problem Cheryl :)

Aw, that's sweet! I'm sharing with our team :)
