Hi Guys!

This is my first work, i have ported the new Touchwiz UX launcher from Galaxy S3 to our GS2.:eek:

Try it and give me feedback, there are some things to fix but it' s look very nice and smooth:D

Work only on ICS Roms!

TouchwizUX come in 2 versions:

TouchWizUX-4x5 -> 4 columns and 5 rows in appdrawer (Stock layout)
TouchWizUX-5x5 -> 5 columns and 5 rows in appdrawer

TouchwizUX work on both Samsung based ROM and CM/AOKP/AOSP ROM.

Flashed it and cannot get a hold of the touchwiz, using apex launcher, isnt coming up anything after flashing. Remix recsurection ROM

Hi, i flashed this and the touchwiz launcher doesnt load, it just force closes, im running VK ics rom. Hope you can fix this :) thankyou

Kudos to you man! Great job done porting it but IMHO with all due respect to your work, the latest touchwiz launcher looks cheap. Ever used Samsung Champ? It looks like that. Bad Samsung!

And possibility to choose default homescreen, alphabetical grid and other missing things that would've been nice on tw4

@Smando Just one thing to point out (probably the reason it aint working for some people)
On the zip the lib is in system/libs not system/lib so it isnt copying to the right destination

GREAT job. Works great on my ATT SGS2 running a i9100 Rom. Now can you get the app drawer to be alphabetical? That's the only thing I swap the US touchwiz out on when running a i9100 based firmware. Again GREAT JOB!

Hey! Smando!

Tried it on GSII running stock ICS, but it doesn't seem to work... get the famous "Unfortunately your app has stopped" message...

Is it possible to install it by pushing the apk and the lib files to system/app and system/lib folders? That worked like a charm a few minutes back...

Yes I noticed that as well, manually copied libdrawglfunction.so and now the launcher is working :)

Just Click menu when opening the application grid -> view type -> alphabetical grid ;)

Must say I kind of miss wallpaper scrolling already, but if that's the price I have to pay for a super smooth experience, then so be it.

Nailed it bro!!!

That was the problem... the lib file was being pushed to the "libs" folder... All I did was cut it and pasted it in the "System/lib" folder and it is up and running!!

Great catch!!!

Resizing icon to 72x72 cause some other layout problems...

    -Custom number of appdrawer's raw in portait
    -Custom number of appdrawer's columns in portait/landscape
    -Landscape mode (home is buggy)
    -Number of icon in dock
    -Position of Apps icon in dock
    -Enable/disable title of icon in dock
    -Font size of badge number
    -IconPack support:eek:
    -UXSettings localized in English and Italian
    -Other minor mods

    Fix:
    -layout of some widget in portrait
    -other minor fix

    As usually flash via CWM

    If after flash the layout of homescreen is broken go to UXSettings and press Save

    Amazing! Thanks to your guide, I've done my own launcher based on Smando's v1.5.1! :good: Thank you very much ;)
    This is my custom launcher, I call it "Galaxy S2.5" because I made its margin similar to TouchWiz 4.0 launcher in our S2, so that we can use S2 stock widgets with this launcher and feel like with the old one.

    Changes (compared to Smando's 1.5.1):
    - Modified margin and grid (homescreen & apps drawer)
    - Modified gaps between widgets --> useful with S2 stock widgets
    - Modified homescreen height
    - Smaller badge font size (email, sms, social hub COUNTER)
    - Uppercase, bold style, smaller size for Apps drawer tabs title (APPS, WIDGETS) --> closer to original ICS
    - Disable wallpaper scrolling (as I see many requests to disable this function)
    - UPDATE: I've made another version that enabled wallpaper scrolling ;) See it in attachments plz.

    Thanks to:
    Smando (of course!) for his great porting
    Gyebro for his useful guide, well, the guide helped me so much! :good:

    As Smando ported this great launcher, so I still leave his name unchanged in the codes and application name. Again, thank you Smando! ;)
    The attachments below are:
    - S2 stock weather widget w/ transparent background (by me)
    - S3 weather widget modded by me
    - and my TWUX Launcher (2 versions)

    ***Install:
    - Copy file libdrawglfunction.so in the archive below to /system/lib. Then set permission to RW-R-R.
    - Copy the file .APK to /system/app to replace the previous ones (don't forget to rename them by deleting "-byQdezi" :D), then set permissions to RW-R-R.
    (using Root Explorer)

    5x4 (rows x cols) Homescreen Grid

    Hello!

    First: Thanks for your hard and amazing work Smando!
    Second: I like this launcher very much, but I needed an 5(rows) x 4(columns) grid for the homescreens. -> So I've made my own version (from the 1.5.1) which is optimized for 5x4 arrangement (both in homescreens and in app drawer)

    I thought I'd share it!

    *** TouchWizUX [based on 1.5.1 4x5] [5 rows x 4 columns] [Small dock] ***

    Features:
    5 rows and 4 columns in home screens and app drawer
    No icon labels in dock
    Homescreen icon labels text size was reduced
    Small margin on the sides
    AccuWeatherS3 widget's size was reduced to fit the smaller cells
    Notice: the agenda and calendar widgets are NOT included


    Install manually
    1) Copy the files and folders in the "system" folder to your "root/system" directory
    2) Set the permissions of the newly created .apk and .so files to "rw-r--r--"
    3) Reboot
    4) Choose Touchwiz Home as launcher
    5) Enjoy!
