VACAVILLE-

A Vacaville pastor is among a group arrested for arson, police say he helped plan the fire.

A person called 911 early Thursday morning from inside a home, reporting a Molotov cocktail had been thrown. The six people inside were able to put the fire out before emergency crews arrived.

Damage to the home was minor, and no one was injured.

Shortly after the fire, a Vacaville Police officer pulled over a rental vehicle for a code violation.

Anthony Newbolt, 33, Richerd Wright, 28, and Kristen Broyles, 30, were investigated and implicated in the fire incident.

Newbolt and Broyles had been staying at Fellowship Baptist Church.

Mark Lewis is the pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church.

The victim of the Molotov cocktail incident has a restraining order against Lewis. The victim had reported four separate incidents of harassment and vandalism from Lewis since Christmas.

Evidence found at Lewis’ home included an illegal handgun, what police believe is methamphetamine, and evidence implicating him in the Thursday morning fire.

The investigation is ongoing, anyone with information is asked to call detectives at (707) 449-5200.
