The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said Tuesday that it has determined the individual nominees for The Wolf of Wall Street in the best picture category.
They are producers Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Joey McFarland and Emma Tillinger Koskoff.

The Producers Guild of America, which also nominated Wolf for best film, cited Riza Aziz, Koskoff and McFarland as producers after reviewing the various producers’ contributions to the film.
Although the Academy normally follows the PGA’s lead, it has added DiCaprio, who developed the project, and Scorsese to its list of credited producers and omitted Aziz, who financed the film through his Red Granite Pictures (McFarland runs Red Granite with Aziz).
In the wake of the Academy announcement, Red Granite issued a statement, saying: “We are thrilled that the Academy has recognized the invaluable contributions of Marty, Leo, Joey and Emma on behalf of The Wolf of Wall Street. Riza Aziz and Red Granite remain honored to be part of the production team.”
The Academy has made its final determination regarding who among the film’s producers will be recognized for awards purposes, and there is no appeals process in place to contest that decision.
Under Academy rules, the organization prefers to present its best picture award to no more than three producers “who have performed the major portion of the producing functions.” But the producers branch executive committee has the right to name additional producers if it so decides. This year, the Academy designated four producers on American Hustle, another of the best picture nominees, and five producers, including Brad Pitt, for 12 Years a Slave, another of the best picture nominees.
DiCaprio also is nominated for best actor, while Scorsese will vie for best director.
Wolf is up for a total of five Oscars, also including best supporting actor for Jonah Hill and best adapted screenplay for Terence Winter.
The Oscars will be handed out Sunday, March 2, at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. The ceremony, hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, will air live on ABC.
