In May 2012, Hüttinger was awarded the contract for the master plan, schematic design, detailed design and consultancy for the construction and installation of the Creation and Experience gallery within the LSTM in Shenyang. In close cooperation with the museum team, a first step was a detailed assessment of the client's wishes and their appropriate and realistic reflection in an initial draft, followed by a first draft of how galleries could be arranged and filled with educational content. During various excursions around China and especially Liaoning Province, research was done and cultural, social as well as historical aspects included in the schematic design. Interactive exhibits as well as a functional design concept were chosen, specifically adapted to and arranged for a high-class exhibition hall, featuring more than 150 exhibits on an area of 3.500 sqm. The arrangement and the exhibits were then defined more precisely to meet the highest international standards of exhibition design. Support during the tendering phase, construction consultancy and installation support were additional tasks in this exciting and challenging project. © Kurt Hüttinger GmbH & Co.
