Tom Hiddleston‘s Loki has been one of — if not the — breakout character from Marvel Studios‘ sequence of super hero movies, with Hiddleston clearly enjoying the chance to play such a fun, morally ambiguous character. But what if he was one of the good guys, instead?
The upcoming Blu-ray release of Thor: The Dark World offers two different chances to see Hiddleston as an Avenger — as two Avengers, actually. Not only does a a bonus clip on the disc offer the sight of Loki dressed as Captain America — watch the video below, courtesy of Empire magazine — but fans will also be treated to Hiddleston’s original screen test … for the role of Thor.

The oddity has so far only surfaced online in animated GIF form, but given that it features a shirtless Hiddleston with long blond locks, it’s only a matter of time before the entire thing will appear.
If the feedback to these two Dark World extras ends up being anything like you’d expect, we can only hope that Marvel decides to start putting Hiddleston in even more Avengers drag for future home releases. You just know that he’d love to dress up in one of Tony Stark’s Iron Man suits, after all …
