  9. What is your favorite part about the book blogging community? Is there anything that you would like to see change in the coming years? Well the friendships and that I have found through it and made long lasting friends through reading books, and found friends to find me books at BEA.
  10. Have your reading tastes changed since you started blogging? How? Yes my reading tastes have changed and I have become more picky in what I love and don't love. Yes blogging and reviewing has made me more picky in what I read. I have been introduced to many new authors to read.

  3. Austenland! A Jane Austen-infused tour of England would probably be my literary vacation choice, too. Most of my favorite literary settings aren't even real places, I now realize--Panem, Narnia, the Star Wars universe. :-)

  4. It is definitely hard to imagine whether or not I'll still be blogging in five years!

  6. Ooh, Hemlock was pretty fantastic! England was my second choice for literary locations -- I've been once and desperately want to go back!

  8. Hemlock and Shadow and Bone are both books I am excited to read soon! Good to hear they are some of your faves!

I do find myself getting a little more picky in my reads since I started blogging 2 months ago already. Maybe because blogging takes away from your reading time so you want to make sure it is something you really want to read?

I really need to read Shadow and Bone one of these days. I have the galley, now I just need the time!

I hope you're not burnt out in 5 years! I found I was a little overloaded a few months ago so I took a LONG break. it's nice to be back now ... sometimes a break is necessary. :)

  10. I would love to visit Austenland! It is on my "dream vacation" list. I think it would be fantastic and would make my dreams come true (Ok that was sappy but close).

I agree that I got more picky about what I read too! I think it is because we have so many more choices :)

  12. One of the interesting things about going to Bath and making your way down the narrow streets and up the very narrow staircases in some of the houses is that it gives you a visceral feel for the period. I always imagine climbing the stairs in a long dress--and with the expectation that I should do it gracefully?!!

  13. Oh, I'm about ready to start Shadow and Bone myself, and I'm so excited to hear that you loved it so much! I can't wait to read it!

  14. Oh! Don't burn yourself out. I've been nearly there and had to take a step back and re-evaluate why I was doing this. If you love it, then do what you need to do to care for it, and your own motivation for blogging =)

  16. Finally, I was starting to wonder if I was the only one who has become more picky in my reading. So many books out there. Blogging is really hard to keep up with. Five years is a long time. Shadow and Bone was awesome!

So glad to meet you! Hope to see your around a bit more at Armchair BEA.

  19. Wouldn't you just love to sit at a high tea with Jane Austen?! I so agree that her time, and England, would be a lovely place to visit. Happy BEA Week!

  20. I too have become more picky in what I read after I started blogging. I used to read "trashy" books but now I try to read across all genres.
