Miley Cyrus‘ Bangerz tour touched down in Los Angeles on Saturday night, and in homage to the pop star’s hometown, the singer amplified an already racy performance to include a girl-on-girl kiss with Katy Perry.
The moment came about halfway through Cyrus’ set as she sang the song “Adore You.” Perry, given a prime seat in the front of the floor section, seemed an eager participant.

After the lip-lock, Cyrus declared, “I just kissed a girl and I liked it a lot.”
The Staples center stop was only the fourth date of Cyrus’ Bangerz tour, which continues through April, and included several covers, among them: the Flaming Lips‘ “Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots,” sung with the band’s frontman, Wayne Coyne.
In a review of the Feb. 20 Anaheim, Calif., show, Hollywood Reporter contributor Craig Rosen noted the singer’s transition “from a clean-cut teen star to a down-and-dirty sex kitten who clearly takes pleasure in pushing people’s buttons.” Indeed, the performance, which included a faux orgy on a giant bed, Cyrus riding a giant hot dog, plenty of crotch-grabbing and that infamous foam finger (the Los Angeles stop also featured Cyrus simulating fellatio on a dancer dressed as Abraham Lincoln), was not for the prudish — parent or otherwise — but, thanks to Cyrus’ vocal chops and trademark tongue-in-cheek delivery, it impressed nonetheless.
Cyrus next appears at Oakland’s Oracle Arena on Feb. 24.
