Danish sales outfit TrustNordisk has kicked off Berlin’s European Film Market with a smattering of territory sales for Pernille Fischer Christensen‘s drama Someone You Love.
The title, which features Mikael Persbrandt and Trine Dyrholm, the stars of Oscar-winner In a Better World, closed for Australia and New Zealand (Madman), Spain and Andorra (Golem), Benelux (Wildbunch), Korea (Atnine), Turkey and Cyprus (Umut Sanat Filmcilik) and Hong Kong (Edko Films).
Someone You Love will have its world premiere in Berlin on Tuesday in a special out-of-competition screening. The film would not have qualified for Berlin competition because star Dyrholm is a member of the international jury at this year’s festival.
Christensen and Kim Fupz Aakeson co-wrote the screenplay for Someone You Love. Sisse Graum Jorgensen and Vinca Wiedemann produced for Zentropa Entertainments16. The film will have its domestic bow in Denmark on April 24 through Nordisk Film Distribution.
