Master collaborator Pitbull has already musically paired with Jennifer Lopez, Kesha, Usher, Ne-Yo, Enrique Iglesias, Christina Aguilera and Lil Jon — to name a few — so who does he hope to record a track with next?
THR COVER: Pitbull’s Plan to Become the Next Billion-Dollar Brand
While on the Today show on Monday, he answered, “Jay Z is someone that I idolize not only on the business side [but] as an artist, and Celia Cruz, one way or another.”
He then performed “Timber” and “Wild Wild Love” with girl group G.R.L.
Between performances and chats with Savannah Guthrie about his charter school in Miami, Playboy ambassador role and signature scents, he shouted out to THR music editor Shirley Halperin, who wrote his cover story for the April 4 issue. “As far as The Hollywood Reporter, I want to say thank you to them, and Shirley, the reporter, she did an amazing article, the way she put on the cover, ‘Pitbull, hardest worker in music industry!'”

He also added that his goal for 2014 is, “Buckle up, ’cause either you’re going to grow with me or get outgrown, ride or get rode, get right or get left!”
