Jimmy Carter is set to make his first appearance on Late Show With David Letterman in nearly a decade.
The former president will guest on the late night show on March 24, CBS said on Wednesday.
The appearance is part of Carter’s media tour to promote his new book, A Call to Action, which hits store shelves on March 25.
The 89-year-old politician is also scheduled to be interviewed by Katie Couric at the Women in the World Summit in early April.

Letterman is currently in reruns this week. Among political guests, the CBS show recently hosted Sen. John McCain on March 10.
Carter’s A Call to Action, published by Simon & Schuster, is described as spotlighting women’s rights issues around the world.
