Thursday brought a nightly win for ABC, with small lifts for both Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal. After an even Once Upon a Time in Wonderland (0.8 rating with adults 18-49), both Grey’s (2.4 adults) and Scandal (2.9 adults) inched up a tenth of a point from last week’s scores. With no new Big Bang Theory on CBS, Scandal topped all broadcast series for the night in the key demo. ABC averaged a 2.0 rating and 6.8 million viewers.

American Idol hit another low on Fox, falling below the 2.0 mark with a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49. That’s a tenth of a point down from Wednesday and three-tenths off from last Thursday. With a new Hell’s Kitchen (1.7 adults), off two-tenths, the network took a 1.8 rating with adults under 50 and narrowly took total viewers with 6.83 million.
CBS’ live coverage of NCAA basketball means adjustments will come later, but as it stands, the tournament is down 31 percent from its first-night preliminaries last year with a 1.1 rating in the key demo.
Community (1.1 adults) improved a tenth of a point on NBC, while Parks and Recreation (1.2 adults) held even — as did Parenthood (1.2 adults). The network took a 1.1 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.5 million viewers.
Reign (0.7 adults) got a two-tenths lift with a lead-in from a returned (and steady) Vampire Diaries (1.0 adults). The CW took a 0.9 rating and 1.9 million viewers for the night.
