No sooner will Peter Parker return to the role of Spider-Man than he’ll be faced with the prospect of meeting every single other Spider-Man in existence, with Marvel Entertainment announcing the latest Amazing Spider-Man storyline, “Spider-Verse,” on Monday.
The new storyline, by longtime Spider-Man writer Dan Slott and artist Olivier Coipel, will reintroduce Morlun, a mystical being who believes he has a link to the source of Spider-Man’s powers. Whereas previously he’s proven to be enough of a threat to Peter Parker’s life, this time he’s upping the ante by going after the Spider-Men of every dimension and timeline.

“Spider-Verse” will not only feature Peter Parker, but also Miguel O’Hara — the Spider-Man from the year 2099, who returned to the present day during Slott’s Superior Spider-Man series — but also Miles Morales, the Spider-Man from Marvel’s Ultimate line. In addition, promotional art for the series features Spider-Ham, Parker’s clone, Ben Riley, and the Spider-Man from Marvel’s short-lived Noir imprint.
The multiverse-spanning storyline is just the latest in Slott’s epic adventures for Marvel’s premiere character, following giving everyone in New York spider powers in “Spider-Island” and killing off Peter Parker in “Dying Wish.” The new story launches in Amazing Spider-Man this November.
