Add another face you’ll recognize to the list of guest stars in upcoming episodes of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. Amy Acker will be joining the cast to play a character fans have hoped to meet for some time: Agent Coulson’s erstwhile cellist from Portland, Ore.
First mentioned in 2012’s Avengers, the character — whose name will be revealed as Audrey, according to the announcement on Marvel.com — has since been referenced in Agents of SHIELD as being unaware that Coulson had, in fact, survived Loki’s attack.

The role will reunite Acker, a veteran of SHIELD executive producer Joss Whedon’s Angel and Dollhouse, with Clark Gregg, who plays Coulson on the ABC drama; the two actors had previously co-starred in Whedon’s big-screen adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing.
The length of Acker’s involvement with the show is unknown, as is the date of her first episode of the series. Agents of SHIELD returns to ABC next Tuesday at 8 p.m.
