About this ebook

The Obree Way is a major new training guide for cyclists from the British cycling legend, and prodigious innovator, Graeme Obree. "Graeme is a genius in the true sense of the word. His uncanny ability to tackle problems from an angle that no-one else could have thought of, makes him a one-off. An original. He sees the world in a different way to us mere mortals and comes up with ideas and solutions which make you laugh, shake your head and say 'why didn't I think of that?'" - Sir Chris Hoy, Multiple Olympic cycling champion. Graeme Obree is twice the cycling world hour record holder and twice World 4000m pursuit champion. One of the first cycling superstars, he inspired a generation of cyclists. Now in the book “The Obree Way,” he shares a lifetime of experience. Written in a conversational style rather than a stuffy training manual, the book is full of fascinating insights into technique, training, equipment, psychology and diet that can help make an enthusiastic cyclist good, and a good cyclist great. Read “The Obree Way” and take your cycling to the next level, whether for the commute, for club cycling or for competition.

I read it in a couple of hours. It is inspirational and has some interesting tips but if you are looking for a coaching book with specifics, look elsewhere.

This is just what you'd expect from an innovator like Graeme Obree. No nonsense, no frills common and uncommon sense on how to get more our of your cycling. The chapter on pedalling alone is worth the cover price, for the way it encourages you to look at the detail of everything you do. In a world of quick fixes, super gels and baffling science, Obree sets out exactly what you need to do to be a more efficient, faster, better cyclist.

Insightful but could have had illustrations and planned workouts to follow.
