Amanda Seyfried will star in Ted 2, Seth MacFarlane‘s sequel to his hit 2012 comedy, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Seyfried will play the female lead in the Universal and Media Rights Capital film, which is slated for release on June 26, 2015.

MacFarlane will return to direct and voice the foul-mouthed teddy bear while Mark Wahlberg will return to star.
Seyfried also stars in MacFarlane’s upcoming Western comedy A Million Ways to Die in the West, which hits theaters on May 30. Her most recent films include Lovelace and The Big Wedding. She’s repped by Innovative Artists and Frankfurt Kurnit.
Ted, which hit theaters in June 2012, went on to become the highest-grossing R-rated film of the year, and the highest-grossing original R-rated comedy of all time with a worldwide box-office tally of $549.4 million.
