[ROM]CM10 [Updated 04/12) with Android 4.2 Apps Extracted from Nexus 4 System Dump

Hi Everyone,

I had created a zip file based on the latest CM10 zip for myself with apps picked from the Nexus4 dump.

Thought I would share it here.

I have added all the apps which I have found to be working without giving FCs.

Mind you it is highly experimental and may give FCs..Flash it at your own risk.

How to flash:

Download the ROM

Download Gapps

Put both the files in your SDcard

Boot into CWM

Wipe Data/Factory Reset

Wipe Cache & Advanced>Wipe Dalvik-Cache

Flash ROM

Flash Gapps

Reboot

Some Random FCs - I don't know why (only seen this once)

I am using it...everything seems to work ..but I have not tested all the features.

Try out the new Camera and Gesture Typing...you will not regret it..

You can try it out by Dual Booting it

Because some Apps like the Email app is dependant on the stock Framework-res and may not work on Sammy ROMs..

Flashed it and been playing around with for a while. Everything is working great, noticeably less buggy than the 4.2 I tried with PA; somehow ended up with a mix of 4.2/4.1 apps which was causing FCs all over the place.

Unfortunately the camera/gallery are as buggy as hell, *sigh*, the gallery itself works fine just the usual GS3 ASOP camera issues. I did have some fun with the image sphere mode!

Camera and Gallery not OK

Hi,
I tried it on my sgs3. Wipe and factory rest, Wipe Cache and Dalvik. Lots of FC. Gmail is 4.2 but pinch and zoom doesn't work. Gallery and Photosphere neither, lots of FC with camera. Otherwise everything works perfectly. Thanks for the job but I' ll try something else...

Everything's find (and fixed):

0- Download CM10_with_Android4.2_apps.zip from Zoot1 and JB_GAPPS_4.2_FULL.zip

1- wipe factory and wipe cache

2- Install CM10_with_Android4.2_apps.zip

3- JB_GAPPS_4.2_FULL.zip

4- Reboot

Different version?

Thanks for the post, I have done this but Android is telling me it's:

GT-I9300
4.1.2
I9300XXDLID

This post says this is Android 4.2?

Android 4.2 apps..the Android version is 4.1.2 as it is CM10 based..
