It’s been almost half a century since their last dynamic team-up in the name of justice, but this summer, Batman and the Green Hornet will once again find themselves working together to save the day in a new series co-written by Kevin Smith.
Batman ’66 Meets the Green Hornet, written by Smith and his Hollywood Babble-On podcast partner Ralph Garman with art by Ty Templeton, continues from the episode of the 1966 Batman TV show that featured the two heroes by bringing the Hornet and faithful valet Kato into the world of DC’s current Batman ’66 spin-off from the show.

“It’s like getting to be 5 years old again and tell stories that you would have made up while watching the show as a kid,” Smith told USA Today about the crossover. “To be able to do it, man, it really does bring it full circle in a bucket-list kind of fashion.” Garman agreed, joking that he has been “preparing for this particular gig my entire life.”
The series will be co-published by DC Entertainment and Dynamite Entertainment, debuting as a weekly digital comic on May 21 before receiving a print edition beginning the following month.
