Teen Wolf stars Tyler Posey and Arden Cho talk about what it was like playing with swords on set during season 3.
In a new video from MTV, Tyler Posey (Scott) and Arden Cho (Kira) discuss the perks and perils of swinging a sword while working on Teen Wolf.
Cho starts off by saying how much fun the fight scenes were and how much she enjoyed them. “I love the action. It makes you feel strong, and it makes you feel tough.”
Posey then jumps in and talks about all the stunts they need to learn in a short amount of time before they have to record their scenes. “Arden picked it up in no time,” he says. “She did stuff that I was actually nervous about doing, and she was totally cool with it.”
But what about in between takes? “When she has the sword and the cameras aren’t rolling, she will almost hit me and everyone else so many times.” Which wouldn’t be a problem if it was always a prop sword, but sometimes it was real!
Teen Wolf season 3 wrapped up at the end of March, bringing to a close the first (and, so far, only) 24-episode season. Kira, a Beacon Hills newbie, found out she had some extra special powers with a sword, not to mention the fact that she was also a kitsune.
Teen Wolf season 4 will premiere on June 23 at 10 p.m. on MTV. The official synopsis reads, “Still healing from tragic losses, Scott, Stiles, Lydia and Kira return to a new semester of school with more human worries than supernatural, while also trying to help their new friend, Malia, integrate back into society.”
