Jacqueline Gomez, a 17-year-old student from Houston, Texas, was found dead in a Houston hotel room just a few hours after going to her prom. Gomez's boyfriend called 911 at 11 a.m. when he woke up and saw that she wasn't breathing. The boyfriend was taken in for questioning, but not as a suspect.
"He was there. He knows everything, so we're just continually wanting to find out what happened and everything," said Miller. "We have no reason to believe he contributed to her death," said Det. Mike Miller, with the HPD Homicide Division.
According to KHOU 11, police found alcohol and prescription painkillers in the hotel room. The coroner has already done an autopsy, but results are not yet available.
So sad.
