SAN FRANCISCO–

Thousands took to the streets of San Francisco Sunday night following the Giants World Series clinching win in Detroit, with some making sure they left their mark.

Bonfires were set in the middle of Mission and Valencia streets, and video from a news helicopter show people taking the celebration to the top of a Muni bus as it tried to find its way through the maze of revelers.

Back on Mission, plastic garbage bins melted when set on fire. However, no business were vandalized there — although reports say some businesses in the area around AT&T Park were hit.

The celebration will continue Wednesday when the Championship Parade hits the streets. FOX40 will bring
