STOCKTON-
A 37-year-old man is accused of injuring his foster infant daughter so severely, she is in a coma, and may not survive.
The 10-month-old girl was initially taken to a hospital on March 30, but then quickly flown to Oakland Children’s Hospital for treatment of her severe injuries. Family Crimes detectives were notified by the hospital, and it appears the injuries were from physical abuse.
After investigating, officers determined the little girl’s foster father, Paul Teldeschi, had something to do with the injuries.
Teldeschi was arrested this week and is facing charges of child abuse causing significant injury.
According to a release from police, the infant is in a coma, and is not expected to survive.
