The Sacramento Jewish community is saying a few extra prayers tonight for its brothers and sisters in Israel.
Rabbi Mona Alphi with Congregation B’Nai Isreal says for anyone who’s Jewish, Israel is not far away.
She is keeping a close eye on the escalating violence.
“I’ve been feeling heartbroken all week, watching what’s going on in the news, looking at the newspaper constantly,” said Rabbi Alphi.
