I am no longer going to be updating this project. I am offering up the code on github for easy access to what I was going to be working on, and all I had done. I am going to be starting a new project, which I hope will add an additional challenge to Minecraft. I have a parting file for you all.
You may be able to build this against forge for 1.7 when it comes out with minor changes.
If someone wishes to take over official development, please PM me, and I will get a link to a new thread for you.
Why Chocolatecraft?
I have felt that cocoa beans didn't do much in vanilla Minecraft, so I did what seemed natural, I started adding new uses for it in a mod. The very first version I put together had static item ids, and worked with 1.4.2. I have made that version available on my download site along with the current version, which will be located in the download section.
What does Chocolatecraft add?
Chocolatecraft adds chocolate-based items to Minecraft, like chocolate bars, hot cocoa, and other items that you can find on your own. There are no blocks added yet, and I will not add any new blocks without a temporary crafting recipe with the ore dictionary or vanilla blocks.
Installation Instructions & Downloads
1. Download and install the proper version of Minecraft Forge.
2. Put the Chocolatecraft zip file in the {minecraft.dir}/mods/ folder
3. Run Minecraft. This will generate configuration files that can be changed to fix any id conflicts.

v1.1.0:
- Updated to 1.4.6
- Added config option for effect times
v1.0.0:
- Released
Future Plans: - Add a chocolate liquid - Change Hot Cocoa to a brewing recipe
- Add Grinder, Separator, and Mixer blocks - Possibly expand on other vanilla foods.
Version 1.2.0 has been released.
I have added theobromine effects to the game. When feeding chocolate bars to wolves, it will poison them. Cats will occasionally eat chocolate, which will kill them. If either a tamed cat or a tamed wolf eats a chocolate bar, and the configuration is setup properly, the logger will log the incident.
Feeding a villager chocolate bars will give you a perk.
This is a yummy mod thank you for making it.
I was surprised looking at the items you add. You add all of the items to make smore's but you did not actually add the smore's item.

Whoops...the texture is there, it should be available.
it still works. also better textures for the next version would be appreciated.
I am unfortunately not an artist. If you know anyone willing to help with getting better textures, have them get in contact with me, and we can work on it.

Fix'd
I am a bit busy with my job, but I have made some progress towards the next version. I still have a lot of work to do, however.
was searching for "smore" not "s'more".
