Hi! I've made the .FTF of the 4.0.4 Update, build number 4.1.B.0.587 for the MK16a.

It's supposed to be a "Generic" version but it has a T-Mobile APN...It works for me in Mexico but this APN cannot be deleted

I don't know what changed, But I think the camera focuses faster, just like 2.3.4! :good:

And maybe a LED fix, some people talked about a HD video fix too, but I haven't tested it 'cause I'm charging the phone. I'll tell you later

The LED for SMS didn't work for me.

Good news: FPS in HD video increased to 29! but the sound recording it's mono

It's simply to fix, you must change the profiles in the media_profiles.xml, located in: etc/media_profiles.xml
before it's:
<AudioEncoderCap name="aac" enabled="true"
minBitRate="128000" maxBitRate="128000"
minSampleRate="48000" maxSampleRate="48000"
minChannels="1" maxChannels="1" />

after:
<AudioEncoderCap name="aac" enabled="true"
minBitRate="128000" maxBitRate="128000"
minSampleRate="48000" maxSampleRate="48000"
minChannels="1" maxChannels="2" />

Simply you must change, maxChannels from 1 to 2 to have stereo recording :good:

Can I use the kernel of this version for my MK16i? I want to root my phone again but i need a source for the kernel to revert it after rooting it using 4.03.

I think all the rooting methods work with this new build number, even the same mods I had before this minor update

Sound, pretty much seems to be the pretty much the same on my MK16i, may be a lil better.. XLoud makes it noisy with loudspeaker
and the touch sensitivity seems to be improved by a certain margin.. but not as good as 2.3.4.. those wer the good days.. Still lags
SMS LED DOES NOT WORK!!!..
I'm not even getting proper notification!!!

E: Stock ROM, Updated via SUS
Rooted, Locked Bootloader

wifi bug is present after 20/24h the mk16 powered, lost deep sleep, wifi is draining battery versy fast, and wifi turn off when screen turn off

the one solution: reboot the phone and 24h after, it's the same .... phone repair does not resolve the bug...

i'm very disapointed about sony .....
