X-Men: Apocalypse is almost two years away from release, but that doesn’t mean that it’s too early to start the viral teases for the movie, with producer Bryan Singer sharing the first page of the treatment on Instagram just to drive fans insane.

The image doesn’t contain any plot details from the 2016 movie — indeed, all that can really be seen that’s of any interest is a mention of “THE FOUR HORSEMEN,” who in comic book continuity are minions of the villain Apocalypse, named after their biblical inspiration although traditionally far less effective — but it does name Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris as the writers of the project; Kinberg wrote both X-Men: First Class and this summer’s X-Men: Days of Future Past, while Dougherty and Harris co-wrote X2: X-Men United with Singer.

X-Men: Apocalypse was announced last December, scheduled for a May 2016 opening. Singer had subsequently said that it would be a movie following the First Class cast that offered ”more of the mass destruction that X-Men films, to date, have not relied upon.”

An apocalypse in more than just villain’s name? We’ll have to wait a couple of years to find out for sure — or simply pay more attention to Singer’s social media accounts in the meantime.
