GRANITE BAY-

It may or may not have been on purpose, but if it was, there is now a reward being offered to catch the person who hit and killed a group of geese.

On June 9, a family of six geese were run over on East Roseville Parkway near Brackenbury Way. Some believe the act was intentional and the Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills is offering a $2,500 reward for the arrest and conviction of the driver.

Placer County Animal Control officers concluded a driver may have hit the birds on purpose, because they say there is a lack of evidence a driver tried to swerve or avoid the geese.

However, some who live in the area and saw the carnage for themselves don’t agree.

“I don’t believe it was intentional, just the case of a driver going to fast,” neighbor Brandon White said.
