EL DORADO COUNTY–

The four-point buck trapped in rural Coloma has been rescued. The Department of Fish & Game came out to the site at 2 a.m. Saturday morning to Taze the buck, nicknamed El Dorado, and release his antlers from the blue tarp they were caught in.

“I’ve been Tazed with that Tazer myself,” says Patrick Foy of the Department of Fish & Game. The warden told FOX40 a Tazer was among one of the only ways to calm the buck while they released him from the trap.

Meantime, El Dorado was set free and ran off almost immediately, with the blue tarp on his antlers.

“We’re not worried about that, next month, he will loose his antlers and grow new ones,” says Foy. New antlers, without the tangled mess.
