A couple of Elk Grove men who appeared to have had too much good stuff were arrested following a disturbance at an Elk Grove AM/PM gas station.

According to Elk Grove Police, officers were dispatched early Monday morning to the gas station located on Grantline Road after two men caused a disturbance at the store. According to the store employees the two men were drinking in the parking lot and had left in a blue Kia van.

Officers located the vehicle being driven by 40-year old Leo Jackson of Elk Grove and conducted an enforcement stop. Upon contact, Jackson appeared intoxicated, failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.

The other man in the vehicle, 28-year old Leon Pringle of Elk Grove was handcuffed and placed in the rear of the patrol car while the sobriety test was being conducted. Pringle allegedly kicked the rear window of the patrol vehicle causing damage.

Both men were taken to the county jail where Pringle remains in custody on vandalism and public intoxication charges and Jackson has been released on bail.
