Passionate global nomads with up-market tastes and assets will have a new landmark address to congregate in a communal space in the South Seas. Introducing The Stairs Villa Hotel, envisioned by Philippe Starck, set to break ground in 2013 in the Petitenget neighborhood of Seminyak, Bali.

Taking direction from the vision of vibrant streets across the world coming together in a monolithic 65-foot-wide stairway, The Stairs is the first Starck fully-designed villa hotel in Indonesia. The project features a private village of 12 limited-edition villas with signature floor-to-roof glass facades by internationally-acclaimed artist JonOne; and public areas with a café patisserie, restaurant, bar lounge, boutique, mezzanine bibliothèque, signature spa, and workout facilities.

"The Stairs, without a doubt, shall become the boiling bucket of energy, activity and intelligence of Bali, and perhaps more," describes Philippe Starck, the brainchild behind the design concept of The Stairs. He continues, "The Stairs does not follow any type of trend in decoration and architecture; it is self-designed, just following the beauty of the Balinese soul and the future of the next centers of the world."

The Stairs is a project of DeCiazini Group, a French privately-held investment, development and management firm with its pulse on leading hospitality, F&B, and design-related initiatives.

Co-founders Nicolas Panzani, Noel Ciabrini and Hugo Revuelta, along with renowned designer Philippe Starck, share the same philosophy and passionate goal in launching The Stairs in Bali. The landmark villa hotel will create an indelible portrait of a communal space in the Petitenget neighborhood of Seminyak on the "Island of the Gods."
