The View continued to remain silent on Monday about incoming co-host Rosie O’Donnell and other potential panelists, including guest co-host Meghan McCain, who’s rumored to be under consideration for one of the show’s open chairs. Similarly, Elisabeth Hasselbeck stayed mum about the View drama on Fox & Friends, in her first live show since the vacation she interrupted to call in last Wednesday and share her thoughts about Rosie O’Donnell returning to the ABC daytime series.
But O’Donnell kept talking about Hasselbeck and The View on Twitter over the weekend. In fact, just hours before Hasselbeck returned to the air, O’Donnell tweeted a YouTube video of a 2007 View fight the two of them had about torture at Guantanamo Bay.

While O’Donnell protested the fact that Guantanamo Bay detainees were being held, and possibly tortured, without being charged and without lawyers, Hasselbeck took a more nuanced view.
While insisting that she was not OK with torture, she said, “They should be put under pressure where they’ve confessed things that they may be involved or may have ties to or may have knowledge about potential attacks…. Interrogation is one of our only weapons in this war.”
O’Donnell said, “I don’t think the United States should ever, ever, ever torture other people.”
O’Donnell tweeted the clip, writing “remember this — basic human rights.”

She also responded to a user’s comment that she and Whoopi Goldberg “will make a FABULOUS pair!”
“yup WE R GROWN ASS WOMEN !!!” she wrote, invoking Goldberg’s comments on Thursday’s episode of The View.
In response to a tweet about reports that surfaced on Friday of CNN’s S.E. Cupp being in talks to join The View, O’Donnell retweeted the following user’s comment.
@Donna_West @Rosie I hope they pick a conservative person that is willing to see all sides & that has knowledge of the world and people.
