A Citrus Heights boy injured last year in a car crash where a driver was possibly under the influence of drugs has died, according to the coroner’s office.
The incident happened back on Oct. 5, when a Chrysler 300 hit two boys walking to school at the intersection of Mariposa Avenue and Greenback Lane.
Prosecutors allege that 51-year-old Tresa Bales-Sterba was driving under the influence of meth and other drugs. Also in question is whether she was driving with a suspended license.
Henry Perez-Rocha, 6, was critically injured in the crash. He died Wednesday, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s office. His brother Juan was released from the hospital in back in October.
Bales-Sterba is being held on $200,000 bail after the toxicology report showed the influence of drugs.
