Creekview Ranch Middle School in Roseville was put on lockdown Thursday afternoon after a man reportedly threatened the school’s principal.

Placer County Sheriff’s Sergeant Kurt Walker told FOX40 the man threatened to kill the school’s principal and pointed a lighter at him like a gun.

Deputies later arrested the man at a nearby creek. As authorities led the man away in handcuffs, he wiggled his pants off. Walker says the man’s shirt covered everything.

Kids remaining on campus after school was let out were led away from the windows as the man was taken into custody.
