WOODLAND-

A man wielding a machete who stole copper wire from a business was later caught while riding his bike near the victims.

The owner and an employee of Leyva’s Auto Body Repair Shop in Woodland came back to the store Thursday afternoon and found a man stealing wire.

They confronted him, and were met with a machete; the employee reacted by pepper-spraying the suspect in the face. The suspect then kicked the employee, and took off on a bike.

Later that night, the business owner and employee saw the suspect riding his bike nearby. They called police and they arrested the man. He is identified as Larry Kruletz, he was booked into the Yolo County Jail for robbery charges.
