LONDON — Oscar, Emmy and Tony Award-winner Al Pacino is bringing An Evening With Pacino to the U.K. for the first time, for one night at the London Palladium on June 2.
An Evening With Pacino promises to explore the myriad highlights of one of the most celebrated careers in acting history, from his time off-Broadway in the 1960s right up to the present day, with the actor himself, in intimate theater surroundings.
The evening will include an onstage interview projected on a large screen and an audience Q&A with Pacino.
“I am really looking forward to coming to London,” Pacino said. “I have always felt at home there. I consider it an honor to be appearing at the Palladium, and I will be glad to be back on the boards in your great city.”
Pacino won his first Tony in 1969 for Does a Tiger Wear a Necktie? and the best actor Oscar in 1992 for his turn in Scent of a Woman.
He has also directed and produced several films including Looking for Richard and the soon to be released Wilde Salome starring Jessica Chastain as Oscar Wilde’s Salome.
The show is presented by event organizers and promoters Rocco Buonvino and the production and investment banner Sterling Entertainment, founded by Teji Singh.
Buonvino said: “I’ve had the pleasure to work with many major artists around the world, many of whom are dear friends, but Pacino is quite special and I endeavor to serve him with flying colors.”
Singh described seeing Pacino in London as “a once in a lifetime opportunity.”
