BLUE CANYON–

This story may ring a bell — in more ways than one.

It’s the tale of a roadside ring found in December by Douglas Benedetti. He went searching for the silver heirloom after a man told him it had slipped from his finger while he was chaining-up his tires in a snow storm.

“Everyday I think about it,” Benedetti said. “I keep it in a camera case I have with me all the time.”

He’s been searching for the owner ever since. The story went national, and the ring’s inscription is on the web.

It says: “Lisa June 5th, 2010”

But still, no one has come forward to claim it. Why?

“Many theories,” says Benedetti. “Me and my friends have many, many, many theories.”

But whatever the reason, Benedetti says he’s going to keep the faith — and keep the ring — until he can get it back to its rightful owner.

“When should I give up?” he asks, laughing.
