A family of fun-loving monsters make their debut on Disney Junior next week.
Henry Hugglemonster, which premieres at 5 p.m. ET/PT on Monday, follows the adventures of the 5-year-old title character, who is the middle child in a happy, close-knit monster family in the town of Roarsville. Based on the award-winning children’s book I’m a Happy Hugglewug by Niamh Sharkey, the song-filled animated series will find Henry sharing everyday life lessons that are relatable to kids age 2-7.
The Hollywood Reporter has an exclusive clip from Monday’s premiere.
The voice cast includes Lara Jill Miller (Doc McStuffins) as Henry; Tom Kenny (Spongebob Squarepants) as Daddo and Grando; Lori Alan (Family Guy) as Momma; Hynden Walch (Teen Titans) as Summer; Chiara Zanni (My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) as Cobby; and Kari Wahlgren (Phineas and Ferb) as Ivor.
The Spice Girls’ Geri Halliwell, Oscar-nominated actress Brenda Blethyn (Atonement) and Brian Blessed (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves) are among the guest stars.
The series made its initial debut on Disney Junior in the U.K. in February and will continue to roll out internationally to more than 150 countries worldwide throughout the year.
Disney Junior, which launched in February 2011 with a daily programming block on Disney Channel, is also a 24-hour cable network targeting kids ages 2-7.
