HTC、欧州6カ国における「HTC Watch」の提供を5月末までに終了へ
HTCが同社製スマートフォン向けに提供している動画配信サービス「HTC Watch」を海外の一部国で終了することを明らかにしました。
この情報はサービス終了予定の国の利用者に対してHTCより送信された予告メールによって明らかになりました。HTCによると、イタリアで5月15日に終了するを皮切りに、5月末までにデンマーク、オランダ、ノルウェー、スペイン、スウェーデンの計6か国で終了する予定となっています。この中に日本は含まれていません。
終了する理由は説明されていませんが、終了する国は利用者が少なく、逆に利用者の多い国では継続されることになっています。終了後も購入済みのコンテンツは再ダウンロードできるとのことです。コンテンツの販売が終了するというだけの話みたいです。
“Dear Customer,
As a user of the HTC Watch service we would like to inform you that the store will no longer be available from 15 May. Until that date, you will still be able to purchase movies from HTC Watch shop as usual. Do not worry, this does not affect in any way the film that has already purchased, you will still be able to access its library and re-download them.
Thank you for being a customer HTC Watch, and we apologize for any inconvenience caused. We’ll stay in touch, by providing updates on our future digital services.
