SACRAMENTO—

Police are looking into a suspicious device found at Southside Park in downtown.

A maintenance worker found the device at some point before 8:30 a.m.

Sacramento Police are are taking precautionary measures against the device. An explosive ordinance disposal team has shown up at the scene.

A perimeter was set up in the area, near 6th and V streets.

Police later found that the device was replica hand grenade. It has been disposed of by EOD, police say.
