Jeremy Lin continues a remarkable second NBA season, and is showing the poise and consistency that will make the Houston Rockets a serious threat against anyone in the post-season.

Many consider James Harden the top weapon for the Rockets and they’re probably correct. But Lin gives the Rockets another incredible weapon. Obviously, an NBA team hoping to go a long way in the playoffs needs as many weapons as possible. The Rockets are fortunate to have Lin, who has matured so well in his second season that it appears he’s ready to run it up a few notches in the playoffs.

If he does that, the Rockets will indeed be dangerous.

Lin is averaging 13.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game. His assists average makes him a very effective guard. He’s been working extremely well with his teammates in recent games. Lin has been shooting 44.7 percent from the floor, but his 3-point shooting of 33.7 percent needs to improve.

He’s been shooting the ball well in recent games. On Wednesday, the Rockets beat the Utah Jazz 100-93 with Lin hitting 9-of-13 from the floor and 1-of-1 in 3-pointers, plus 5-of-6 in free throws. He had six assists and scored 24 points.

Lin had a decent game earlier in the week in a loss to the Golden State Warriors when he scored 21 points and was 3-of-5 in 3-pointers. But he was a master of the court last week against the Minnesota Timberwolves with eight assists and 24 points.

He’s definitely one of the top NBA players right now and hopes to show that in the playoffs.
