The late George Harrison is getting a weeklong tribute on TBS’ Conan.
Timed to the release of George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75, a reissue of Harrison’s first six solo albums, Conan O’Brien will honor the late Beatles guitarist and singer-songwriter the week of Sept. 22-25. The reissue is available on CD and digital download on Sept. 22.
Beck, Norah Jones and Harrison’s only child, Dhani Harrison, will perform live versions of songs from the catalog. Additional performers are also expected to drop by the Conan set on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, Calif.
George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75 spans Harrison’s solo work for The Beatles’ Apple Records; it includes a special DVD with a previously unseen seven-minute film and a book with an introduction by Dhani Harrison, essays by Kevin Howlett and previously unpublished photos. The set is is designed as a supplement to the 2004 release, The Dark Horse Years 1976-92.
Conan airs Mondays through Thursdays at 11 p.m. on TBS.
