The first official season-three poster for Arrow is here — and Team Arrow is front and center.
Oliver as the Arrow leads the way, with Roy in full costume as Arsenal, Felicity, Laurel and Diggle following close behind, leaving a destroyed city in their wake. Notably absent in the poster is Thea, who left Starling City at the end of last season to learn the ropes from her father, Malcolm (aka the Dark Archer).
When season three picks up, Team Arrow is on a roll. But if the poster is any indication of things to come, that won’t last very long.
“If season one was about Oliver going from vengeance to vigilante, and season two was vigilante to hero, season three is about identity,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim told The Hollywood Reporter in July. “It’s the first season where this theme of identity is not only about Oliver but also about all the other characters.”
New characters this season include Ra’s al Ghul (Matt Nable), the Atom/Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh), Thea’s new love interest (Austin Butler), Wildcat/Ted Grant (J.R. Ramirez), Felicity’s mother (Charlotte Ross), Maseo (Karl Yune), Katana (Rila Fukushima), a new Count Vertigo (Peter Stormare), Felicity’s college ex (Nolan Funk), Digger Harkness/Captain Boomerang (Nick Tarabay) and Mark Shaw/Manhunter (David Cubitt).
Arrow returns Oct. 8 on The CW.
