As part of a new partnership between DreamWorks Animation and Sands China, the studio will debut its DreamWorks Experience at the Resort in Macao beginning July 1.
Supported by the Macao Government Tourist Office, the DreamWorks Experience is the result of a newly inked licensing agreement that will see characters from Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, Shrek and Madagascar attending events, shows and other offerings throughout Cotai Strip Resorts on the Sands Cotai Central and the Venetian Macao properties.
“All of us at DreamWorks Animation are excited to bring the DreamWorks Experience to this amazing integrated resort city,” said DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg. “Cotai Strip Resorts has become a great destination for families, and now it’s going to be even better!”
A selection of upcoming attractions was revealed at a news conference Tuesday. Among the highlights are character dining experiences, special DreamWorks room packages, themed areas for character meet-and-greets, themed meetings and events packages, VIP experiences, photo shoots with DreamWorks characters, a daily parade, performances, a light and sound spectacular to come in the fourth quarter as well as a DreamWorks-themed Ice World, also coming in Q4.
“Sands China is pleased to bring the hugely popular DreamWorks Experience to Macao,” said Sands China Ltd. president and CEO Edward Tracy. “This innovative offering changes the landscape of family-friendly entertainment in Macao and is sure to be a big draw for guests of all ages, offering yet another reason to visit our fabulous integrated resort city – Cotai Strip Resorts.”
