Oregon State released a copy Tuesday of the employment term sheet for women's basketball coach Scott Rueck, the outline of a six-year contract that averages $210,000 annually. Rueck also could earn $38,000 or more in academic- and athletic-performance bonuses, according to the term sheet.
(PDF), released after a request under Oregon open-records law by The Oregonian, was dated and signed June 29 by Rueck and OSU athletic director Bob De Carolis. But, the document says, it "is not binding for you or OSU."
An OSU spokesman said he anticipated Rueck's formal contract would be completed later this month.
Compensation for three assistants and a director of basketball operations has yet to be finalized, according to the document. It also says Rueck and De Carolis will negotiate an incentive for ticket sales by Sept. 1, 2010.
Rueck's buyout is listed at $50,000 for the first year and decreases to $10,000 in Year 6.
