St. Peter's College has extended the contracts of women's basketball Coach Stephanie DeWolfe and men's basketball Coach John Dunne through the year 2013.

Terms of the agreements were not made public.

"Stephanie (DeWolfe) and John (Dunne) have both done a tremendous job building competitive basketball programs with integrity and class. They continually demonstrate a commitment to the academic success and overall welfare of the student-athletes at Saint Peter's College," said Patrick Elliott, director of athletics.

"We are looking forward to an exciting future for both programs."

During DeWolfe's six seasons at the helm of the Peahens, they have finished in the top half of the MAAC three times. Her best season was in 2007-08 when the team won 19 games and fell to eventual MAAC champion Marist in the tournament semifinals.

DeWolfe has been a member of the basketball program for 16 of the last 17 seasons, four as a player, six as an assistant coach and six as the head coach.

Dunne just completed his fourth and most successful season as the Peacocks head coach.

Dunne has led the Peacocks to a top six finish in the MAAC each of the past two seasons. He led Saint Peter's to a 16-14 season in 2009-10, their most wins since the 2005-06 season and their best record since the 2003-04.

The Peacocks finished the season tied with Florida State as the best defensive team in the country, holding opponents to 37.7% shooting.
